The customer<\/span><\/h3>\n

In 2020, telecom operator Telenet<\/a> and media group DPG Media<\/a> joined forces to roll out a paid streaming service.
\nTo this end, both companies founded the joint subsidiary Streamz<\/a>, which responds to the changing viewing behavior of the Flemish people, who increasingly watch deferred television, flush out commercials and subscribe to foreign video services.
\nContent platform Streamz had to formulate a local answer to this.
\nThe slogan “Streamz, that’s ours” emphasizes that the revenues thus primarily flow back to the Flemish producers. <\/span><\/p>\n

The project<\/span><\/h3>\n

Since 2016, a dedicated team of Delta Source<\/span>programmers <\/span> one of the agile squads in the Entertainment tribe at Telenet.
\nIn April 2020, we were informed of the groundbreaking collaboration in television land.
\nIn less than six months, two major companies had to be integrated to exchange video content.
\nOur job to be done?
\nGuaranteeing that the Streamz app and the Streamz website will present all series, but also that all Telenet customers with a TV box or a digicorder will have flawless access.
\nThanks to our years of <\/span>software development <\/span>for Telenet, this project was right up our alley!<\/span><\/p>\n

The approach<\/span><\/h3>\n

Developing microservices <\/span>for a conclusive integration between Telenet and DPG Media in less than six months?
\nFor that you need masses of handsome <\/span>software developers<\/span> needed!
\nAnd we have those at Delta Source. <\/span>An eleven-member <\/span>agile team<\/span>, consisting of nine <\/span>software engineers<\/span>, a designer\/analyst and a product owner, focused on the flawless delivery of all information of the series (videos, images, descriptions …) in the backend of Streamz.
\nAn integration and interaction of video content and metadata was set up between Telenet and DPG Media at a rapid pace.
\nThe strong teamwork did not disappoint and Streamz was warmly welcomed by the general public.
\nSince the successful launch, our <\/span>dev team <\/span>in for systematic improvements.
\nOur latest achievement? <\/span>Custom development <\/span>for the new subscription, Streamz Basic. <\/span>Proud to contribute to this revolution in the television landscape!<\/p>\n
