Job description

You will contribute to the further growth of the organization and passionately promote the values of Delta Source.

You will find yourself in a varied position surrounded by an international software development team with members from Belgium and Bulgaria.

You are the technical lead/senior development expert: you are the connection between the business and the development team.

You train the other developers in new technologies and best practices. You will additionally help onboard, mentor and train new team members.

You will do all this from a flexible work location: at home, at the client’s premises, or in the Aartselaar office, depending on the need. Occasional travel to Bulgaria attracts you.

Your skills and degree/experience

You are entrepreneurial, know how to get things done and feel at home quickly in new environments. You can work independently.

You are a person who values responsibility and teamwork. You know how to motivate, manage and coach a team.

You are assertive when necessary.

Pro-activity (taking initiative, seeing opportunities, open-minded,… ) is your thing.

You speak and write English and Dutch fluently.

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science is definitely a plus or you have an equivalent profile through experience (e.g. as technical lead, software architect, scrum master, product owner, … )

Required knowledge and experience in the following areas

  • Very good knowledge of or experience with object-oriented development in one or more of the following languages:

    • Java

    • JavaScript (NodeJS/browser)

    • TypeScript (NodeJS/browser)

  • Knowledge of modern web technologies

  • Experience with one or more of the following technologies are a plus:

    • Frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Angular

    • Agile methodologies such as Scrum, SAFe

    • ArchiMate, UML

    • Experience with test automation and processes such as BDD (e.g., Cucumber)

    • Continuous integration/deployment

    • Cloud-native or public cloud solutions such as AWS
Additional assets include

  • Being certified in relevante technologie of methodologie

  • Proven attention to detail and high quality standards

  • Any previous experience in providing training
